Original data that journalists can’t get anywhere else.
We build surveys, indexes and studies around your niche, package them as a story and pitch them by hand to the writers who cover it. The coverage brings brand mentions and some of the strongest links a site can earn.
What it is
A data-led campaign gives journalists something new to report: a number, a ranking or a finding nobody has published before. Your brand is the source, so the coverage names you and links to the research.
We handle the whole chain, from finding an angle that fits current news to building the dataset, writing the release and pitching it.
Who it’s for
Teams that need authority links and brand awareness at the same time, and that can live with the fact that journalists decide what runs.
It suits brands with their own data (orders, usage, bookings) best, but plenty of campaigns start from a survey or public statistics.
Formats we use

The national poll
One sharp question to a representative panel, released with the surprising answer.
The insight study
Anonymised trends from your product or sales data, turned into a headline.

A useful free tool that keeps earning links long after launch week.

CrackifyWhat this service does not include
- Not a wire blast. We do not push releases through paid distribution networks that syndicate to empty sites.
- Not guaranteed front pages. Journalists decide what runs. We agree realistic success measures in the proposal and report against them honestly.
- Not made-up data. Every number has a source and a methodology a journalist can check.
Questions about data-led campaigns.
Do we need our own data?
No. Many campaigns start from a commissioned survey or public datasets. Your own data helps, because it makes the story impossible to copy.
Who pays for survey panels?
Panel costs depend on sample size and market. They are quoted upfront in your proposal, never added later.
How many links does a campaign earn?
It varies with the angle, the market and the news cycle. We set expectations per campaign in the proposal rather than promising a fixed number.
Can we approve everything before it goes out?
Yes. You sign off the angle, the data and every asset before a single pitch is sent.
